Summary
You will serve as a Botanist/Natural Resources Specialist (Botany). This is an interdisciplinary position location in a Field Office in Utah. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate. Pay will vary based on grade level and/or duty location for which you're selected.
Major DutiesSome of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following:
Writes Biological Assessments for Threatened and Endangered (TE) plant species. Uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) database to organize, collect, and maintain data. Provides input pertaining to vegetation management and plant ecology for oil and gas management. Initiates and completes all aspects of Section 7 consultation with the US Fish and Wildlife Service as required by the Endangered Species Act and recommends mitigation and/or corrective actions.
Involved in environmental planning actions and program development planning. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
