Job Focus: The Business Resource Specialist serves as a liaison between UBTech, employers, students, entrepreneurs, government agencies, and community organizations to strengthen the regional workforce and support economic development in the Uintah Basin. This position develops strategic partnerships, identifies workforce and training needs, creates customized workforce solutions, provides business resource guidance, coordinates entrepreneurial support services and promotes UBTech's education and workforce development opportunities.
Business Resource Specialist support and administer Custom Fit services to qualifying businesses while collaborating with economic development organizations, chamber of commerce, educational institutions, and business partners to advance workforce innovation and regional prosperit y.

Assist in the administration of the Custom Fit and Private Training programs including fiscal and bookkeeping responsibilities.Assist in the administration of the Business Resource Center for day-to-day operations.Consulting clients to identify and provide supportive measures and resources for basic business practices.Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, employers, chambers, agencies, counselors, educators, and community organizations to support entrepreneurs and small businesses.Engage with students, faculty, prospective clients, employers, and community partners to promote short-term training, workforce development, educational pathways, entrepreneurism and continuing education opportunities.Maintains professional knowledge of institutional plans and developments.Assure activities fall within established guidelines and procedures.Coordinate and communicate with various individuals who are internal and external to the institution.Collect data from various sources to initiate reports for administration.Maintain and distribute accurate records and reports.Plan and coordinate outreach activities, including college events, community engagement efforts, and the setup and management of outreach booths and displays.Maintain confidentiality of information and follow policy regarding the release of information.Actively participate at all institutional activities, functions, events, and meetings as appropriateAssist or manage special projects as assigned by the Director of Service Industries and Custom Fit program.Operate and maintain Business Resource Center’s equipment and software programs.Some travel is required for meetings, events, and…
