Job Title: Physician Office Coder- FT, Onsite

Pay Scale: $20-27

Maintains responsibility for patient services expertise; coding procedures and visits rendered by medical provider.

• Codes all procedures and visits rendered by medical provider accurately and timely.
• Assists in the effective and efficient operation of the medical practice.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must have extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
• Must have knowledge of diagnoses/procedures in accordance with ICD-10 and CPT coding principles.
• Must have knowledge of DRG prospective payment systems.
• Certification in Medical Records Technology or related field preferred.
