Job Title: Chemist
Location: Vernal, UT 84078
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Pay Rate: $28.00 - $34.00/hr on W2
Schedule: Day Shift, Monday – Friday (40-hour work week with potential overtime). Flexibility for 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (includes a 1-hour lunch break).
Position OverviewWe are seeking a hands‑on Chemist to support daily operations at our US Onshore Regional Laboratory. Working with limited supervision, this role is critical to executing routine and non‑routine analytical testing that ensures chemical program integrity, supports field recommendations, and contributes to overall product quality. Key Responsibilities- Laboratory Testing: Perform routine and non‑routine laboratory testing in accordance with approved methods and procedures.
- Data & Documentation: Accurately document analytical work, observations, and results in laboratory information systems (LIMS) and reports; verify data to ensure timely reporting.
- Equipment & Troubleshooting: Maintain laboratory instrumentation and work spaces in safe, operational conditions. Troubleshoot analytical and sample‑related issues.
- Safety & Quality (QA/QC): Actively participate in HSE and QA/QC programs, conduct risk assessments before tasks, and maintain strict compliance with PPE and safety policies.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
- Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or research laboratory setting (Entry‑level candidates with strong academic lab experience are welcome!).
- Skills: Strong communication, detailed documentation skills, and the ability to follow strict safety protocols.
- Hands‑on experience with analytical instrumentation and sample preparation.
- Background or experience in oilfield chemistry, chemical manufacturing, or heavy industrial analytical labs.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and sharp attention to detail.
