Location: Various Field Locations. Vernal, Utah 84078
Reports To: Field Operations Manager
Are you the kind of person who loves hands-on work, thrives in the field, and takes pride in being the one people call when something needs to get done right?
If solving problems, working with high-powered equipment, and getting out on the rig site gets your adrenaline going — this is your job.
Premium Oilfield Technologies is looking for a Field Service Technician who’s ready to jump into action installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting RCD and MPD equipment at the wellsite. You’ll be the face of the company in the field — the expert, the problem-solver, and the steady hand that keeps operations safe and efficient.
This is more than a job. It’s a career with real impact and the chance to grow your skill set every single day.
What You’ll Be Doing- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair RCD/MPD systems at the rig site.
- Keep operations safe by following all company and customer policies — safety is always priority #1.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues like a pro.
- Keep detailed service documentation and operate company vehicles responsibly.
- Manage equipment, tools, and parts so you’re always prepared.
- Deliver, install, and service equipment directly at wellsites.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to keep everything running smoothly.
- Train rig crews on how to properly operate and maintain RCD bearings and sealing elements.
- Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams about performance, updates, and equipment needs.
- Support investigations or reports when issues occur.
- Operate and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and MPD software systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace — even in the field.
- Be ready for flexible hours: nights, weekends, and extended shifts as the field requires.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a big plus.
- Oilfield or field service experience strongly preferred — if you’ve been on a rig before, you’re already ahead.
- Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with everyone from rig hands to company reps.
- Highly organized, with the ability to handle both high-pressure situations and slower downtime.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and use hands regularly.
- Able to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Willing and able to perform physically demanding tasks and operate vehicles for extended periods.
- Reasonable accommodations available as needed.
You won’t be stuck behind a desk. You’ll be out where the action is — solving problems, making equipment run better, and directly impacting safe, successful operations. You’ll work with a team that values your expertise, your grit, and your ability to make things happen.
If you’re motivated, mechanically inclined, and thrive in the field, we want you on our team.
