This role requires you to manage the financial statements and reports with precision while complying with relevant legislation. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead a team in daily financial tasks, oversee audits, and maintain sound financial practices. Your expertise will directly contribute to the Band’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage financial operations and compliance
• Guide financial analysis and reporting
• Supervise finance staff and provide direction
• Coordinate annual audits and ensure documentation
• Develop policies and recommend accounting standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• At least 2 years in a senior finance position
• CPA certification required
• Understanding of First Nations financial practices preferred
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
