Step into a vital role as a Payroll Coordinator based in Vernon, British Columbia. This position focuses on accurate payroll processing and compliance with union agreements to support employee satisfaction.
You will be responsible for managing full-cycle payroll for hourly employees, ensuring compliance with various legal standards and collective agreements. With your strong analytical skills and a background in UKG Pro, you will facilitate effective payroll administration and deliver excellent employee support while maintaining positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process payroll accurately for unionized and non-union employees
• Handle month-end payroll journal entries and reconciliations
• Manage remittances for retirement plans and other with holdings
• Complete year-end payroll reports and filings
• Create payroll process documentation and guides
Requirements:
• At least five years of payroll experience
• Proficient in UKG Pro and Workforce Management
• Knowledge of tax regulations and labor laws
• Active PCP designation with the Canadian Payroll Association
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
