Shape the future of HR as a Specialist in Talent Acquisition and Retention with the City of Vernon. This 18-month temporary role champions innovative recruitment to align with organizational goals.

In this pivotal position, you will lead and innovate full-cycle recruitment efforts, aiming to enhance the candidate journey and overall efficiency. Collaborate closely with leadership to establish workforce planning strategies, while leveraging your expertise in Workday Human Capital Management.

Your role includes developing talent pipelines and administering creative sourcing methods to attract specialized candidates effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead full-cycle recruitment and selection processes

• Coach and develop Talent Acquisition team members

• Continuously improve Workday HCM and recruitment initiatives

• Execute employer branding through community outreach and events

• Analyze recruitment metrics to support decision-making

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline

• At least five years of HR experience focused on talent acquisition

• Proven leadership in managing HR staff development

• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

• Valid BC Driver’s License Class 5
