City Talent Acquisition Lead

Lead talent acquisition efforts at the City of Vernon, enhancing both recruitment processes and employee retention strategies. Your strategic approach will transform the candidate experience and attract superior talent.

In this temporary role under the Director of Human Resources, you will guide full-cycle recruitment, coach talent acquisition staff, and optimize the Workday recruitment system. Your contributions will shape proactive recruitment strategies and ensure alignment with the City’s workforce objectives. You will implement innovative employer branding initiatives to position the City as an employer of choice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct full cycle recruitment and selection

• Mentor Talent Acquisition staff for successful performance

• Enhance the Workday HCM and Recruitment systems

• Develop talent pipelines for hard-to-fill positions

• Initiate employer branding through community outreach

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business

• 5+ years of HR and talent acquisition experience

• Strong leadership in coaching and mentoring

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Valid BC Driver’s License Class 5
