As manager of the security department, you will develop effective internal controls compliant with regulatory standards, issue management, risk assessments, and ongoing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a presence on the gaming floor to be able to quickly respond to inquiries and issues as they arise.
  • Control access to the facility and sensitive areas and assist departments.
  • Compile and write reports and maintain a daily log.
  • Oversee and conduct investigations.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the Security department meet and or exceed the casino and regulators standards, policies and procedures. Manage, contribute and apply strategies to improve processes, standards, customer service and team morale.
  • Supervise and participate in the security team activities and shifts by leading, training, mentoring, evaluating, and providing feedback as appropriate. Develop and supervise staff to achieve high levels of performance and customer service. Oversee the human resources issues, performance, safety and recruitment needs of the department.
  • Retain a thorough and updated knowledge of company policies and procedures, provincial and local regulations for casino operations.
  • Contribute to the service standards and department budget. Ensure scheduling and expenditures are controlled.
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education in law or security.
  • Minimum one year of experience in the security industry.
  • Refined understanding of customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • An organized and analytical disposition and the capacity to manage a team.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
  • Positive energy and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheets, email, Internet navigation, and presentation software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and available to be on call 24/7 to respond to emergencies.
