The MS Bike – Ottawa to Cornwall is back on August 15th and 16th, 2026!
The ride starts and ends at the Vernon Recreation Centre (7950 Lawrence St, Vernon, ON), with an overnight stop at The Dev Hotel & Conference Centre (1950 Montreal Rd, Cornwall, ON), and several rest stops along the way.
MS Bike is a two-day cycling event where every kilometer ridden helps raise funds and awareness for the 90,000 Canadians living with multiple sclerosis (MS). By volunteering, you'll play a crucial role in making this event a success while having fun, meeting new people, and supporting those affected by MS.
We're still looking for volunteers for volunteers for a variety of roles at Vernon Recreation Centre
, including:
- Friday, August 14:
Event Set-Up Crew
, 9:00am - 1:00pm (5 volunteers needed)
Help us set up the different event areas, decorate, and create a welcoming space for riders, volunteers, and supporters. - Sunday, August 16: BBQ Lunch, 9:30am - 4:30pm (6 volunteers needed)
Help us prepare and serve a delicious BBQ Lunch for riders, volunteers, and supporters at the Finish Line. - Sunday, August 16:
Finish Line Cheer Squad, 10:00am - 4:30pm (6 volunteers needed)
Help us welcome riders at the Finish Line with high energy, cheers, and motivational signs -- Art supplies will be provided! - Sunday, August 16:
Event Wrap-Up Crew, 3:00pm - 6:00pm (6 volunteers needed)
Help us close the event on a high note and clean up the space.
- Orientation with event overview and specific volunteer role information.
- Ongoing connection to the Volunteer team, with training and support on an as‑needed basis leading up to event day.
Volunteering at MS Bike is a great way to gain valuable skills & experience with a large-scale fundraising event while having fun, building community, and supporting a meaningful cause.
