Role SummaryThe Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality service. The ideal candidate is skilled in automotive systems, safety‑conscious, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Review work orders at the dealership and discuss work with supervisor
- Inspect and diagnose the vehicles using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose faults.
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
- Testing and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications
- Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
- Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements.
- Completion of secondary school
- 1 year experience diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to customers and team members.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
