Position: Full-Time Utility Operator in Lake Country
Location: Lake Country

Join the District of Lake Country as a permanent full-time Utility Operator. This role focuses on the safe operation of water systems and requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills.

As a Utility Operator, you will report directly to the Utilities Manager and engage in various utility operations. Your primary responsibilities will encompass the construction, operation, maintenance, and repair of water supply and distribution systems. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys problem solving and working collaboratively to enhance public services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain District water systems efficiently

• Perform repairs and maintenance on various waterworks components

• Collaborate with other District departments as needed

• Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance standards

• Tactfully communicate with the public regarding utility operations

Requirements:

• One year towards a diploma in water engineering technology

• Minimum one year experience in water distribution or construction

• Eligible for Water Operator EOCP certification

• Valid British Columbia Driver's License

• Chlorine Handlers Certificate or qualification ability
