Join School District No. 22 as a Carpenter, an on-site role focused on construction, renovation, and maintenance tasks. Enjoy a full-time, 12-month position providing essential carpentry services.
As a Carpenter under the Maintenance Manager's guidance, you will execute a wide range of carpentry duties. This role includes repairing building finishes, constructing classrooms, and relocating portable classrooms. Strong communication with administrators and other trades is essential to ensure project success and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general repairs to cabinetry and building finishes
• Construct new classrooms and structural additions
• Relocate portable classrooms, ensuring safety and quality
• Repair and install hardware and locking systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure safety
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education
• Interprovincial Trade Certification as a carpenter
• Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License
• Ability to read blueprints and interpretations
• Knowledge of carpentry standards and practices
