Elevate your painting career with School District No. 22 in Vernon as a Trades Painter. This full-time, 12-month position focuses on maintaining and enhancing district facilities through professional painting.
In this role, you will prepare diverse surfaces for paint application, choose fitting color schemes, and ensure safety compliance throughout projects. Collaboration with administrators and other trades is vital for timely and safe project completion. Effective organization and supervision of trades helpers will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring high quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Scrape and fill surfaces for painting
• Choose color schemes and materials for tasks
• Apply paints using professional techniques
• Repair cracks and prepare surfaces thoroughly
• Collaborate with staff to fulfill project needs
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 education
• Interprovincial Trade Certification in painting
• Must hold a valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License
• Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications
• Strong judgment for task organization
