About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Worker V to join our dedicated team at Noric House in Vernon, BC. Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and in alignment with our organization's vision and values, you will perform trades duties approaching the journeyman level across various trades such as electrical, plumbing, and painting. Your responsibilities will include constructing and finishing items like walls, doors, floors, ceilings, and windows using materials such as drywall, wood paneling, and floor coverings.
Additionally, you will design, construct, and repair furniture, cabinets, desks, tables, and shelves. Your work will also involve plastering, painting, and decorating for both minor renovations and general maintenance tasks. You will supervise maintenance workers and other designated staff to ensure the smooth operation of our facility.
Enjoy the flexibility of day shifts, with work requirements varying between zero and 37.5 hours per week. Upon joining us in a casual role, you'll be eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent part-time or full-time positions. Qualfications- Grade 10, plus four years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License required.
