Senior Project Accountant

Privately held construction industry client has a new permanent opportunity for a Senior Project Accountant. Company works throughout the US, and is recognized as an industry leader in their sector. The Senior Project Accountant is a new position due to growth that will work with leadership, Project Managers, various teams and help mentor and oversee Project Accountants. Approximate Base Salary of $95,000 - $125,000 + Bonus

• Responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for assigned construction projects
• Analyze WIP, business plans, budgets, forecasts, and variances
• Conduct productivity and profitability analysis for assigned projects to leadership
• Analyze and advise on financial/profitability impacts related to labor, materials, equipment, assets
• Work with internal/external customers managing financial and billing processes according to contract terms
• Present financial information to Finance, Project Management and Operations leadership
• Manage lien waivers and payment process
• Monitor pay estimates, cash forecast for AR, supplier payments and contract values
• Assist with staff oversight

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related
• 4+ years of Accounting experience
• Accounting experience in construction, engineering, architecture, project manufacturing, or related
• Experience providing insights on accounting/finance matters to individuals throughout an organization
• Strong project/time management skills
• Advanced Excel skills, working with large data sets
