Monday-Friday Compensation: $60k to $70k annual salary based on experience Position Summary Würth Baer Supply Company is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations of our growing organization. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date
- Process and reconcile expense reports
- Assist with sales tax filings and other regulatory reporting as needed
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors as needed
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
- 1–2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience
- Understanding of GAAP
- Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience managing the full accounting cycle
- Experience with in a manufacturing, distribution, or wholesale environment
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
