To provide Mathematics instruction to Middle School Students.

• Demonstrate accurate, up-to-date knowledge of content and Illinois State Standards
• Provide engaging lessons by using a variety of teaching methods and instructional materials to meet student’s varying needs and interests
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate these objectives to students
• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations
• Participate in professional development in order to provide the highest level of instruction to students

• Ability to work as a team member and previous experience with middle school age children is preferred
• Applicants must hold, or be eligible for, a valid Illinois Teaching Certificate (Type 03 or 09 with middle school math endorsement)
• Past experience teaching the specific class will be considered first. If no previous teaching experience in the specific class, recent coursework or student teaching in the subject will be considered.
• Ability to speak a foreign language is preferred
