School Psychologist - Vernon Hills, IL

Make a difference in the lives of students from preschool through 8th grade by providing expert psychological services across two locations for the full academic year. This contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated school psychologists seeking a dynamic, supportive environment.

Enjoy a balanced workday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with guaranteed 7.5-hour shifts that include a lunch break. Your week will be split between completing ECAT evaluations and participating in meetings in one location, while spending the other half serving as a traditional school psychologist in another setting. This structure offers both variety and consistency for those who thrive in multifaceted roles.

Qualifications we are seeking:

• Valid School Psychologist certification for Illinois
• Experience working with students at the Early Childhood to 8th grade level
• Knowledge of ECAT evaluations and eligibility processes
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration during meetings
• Ability to adapt to different school settings and manage a diverse caseload
• Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology

Responsibilities in this role include:

• Conducting comprehensive ECAT evaluations for early childhood students
• Advising and contributing at student-focused meetings and team consultations
• Performing assessments, delivering counseling, and developing intervention plans for students in the Lake Villa area
• Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with special education requirements
• Communicating effectively with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
