** Job Description*
* The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the duties of the Engineering Department, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement. The successful candidate will collaborate with design, laboratory technicians, purchasing, sales, manufacturing, and assembly teams on design projects.

** Duties and Responsibilities*

+ Fully manage design projects, following through from inception to production

+ Develop new products

+ Solve design problems; adapt, alter, and/or improve existing products

+ Interpret design specifications and translate into design of custom hydraulic manifold housings and develop detailed drawings for the product

+ Produce and maintain design drawings via CAD using PTC Creo

+ Collaborate with Testing, Purchasing and manufacturing teams on design projects

+ Lead design reviews for specific projects involving various departments

+ Participate in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design and quality problems, and ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods

+ Write professional and technical reports after analyzing and interpreting data from various test sources to provide clear conclusions about the results

+ Drive continuous efficiency and effectiveness in day-to-day activities

+ Use documentation software including Q-Pulse and PDMLink (managing ECRs, ECNs & PECNs)

+ Provide technical support and be a resource to other Engineers

+ Support the organization with sharing and implementing best practices across all locations

+ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
