Job Title: Mortgage Community Lending Officer

• Consult with customers about their financial situation, personal objectives, and lending needs to help them achieve home‑ownership goals.
• Collect and analyze customers’ financial information—including income, assets, debts, cash flow, and credit history—to assess eligibility for lending solutions.
• Make recommendations about lending products that best meet customers’ goals and explain alternatives, including risks and benefits.
• Promote Citi’s brand and financial services to real‑estate agencies, builders, other referral sources, and customers.
• Conduct client visits outside Citi offices, adapting frequency to clientele, geography, and market conditions.
• Collaborate with internal partners to support and grow the customer base.
• Refer customers needing non‑lending financial services to appropriate Citi professionals.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure seamless transfer of loan applications to Processors and Underwriters, and provide additional information as needed.
• Work with Processors/Closers and customers to guarantee timely loan closure.
• Build and maintain referral relationships (realtors, CPAs, builders) to drive mortgage business.
• Assess and manage risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Citi’s policies.
• Introduce clients to segment partners (Bank, Wealth Management, Small Business, Cards) when appropriate.
• Stay abreast of local market trends, rule changes, and regulatory developments; expand internal and external networks to better serve clients.
• Attend a minimum of 2–3 diverse realtor and/or affordable housing nonprofit events per month.
• Register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry and obtain a unique identifier before engaging in mortgage loan originator activities.
• Originate a minimum of three loans per month with at least 50% in CRA‑eligible or minority tract areas.

• 3+ years of residential mortgage sales experience.
• Residential mortgage experience required.
• Established relationships with diverse realtor organizations and affordable housing nonprofits in the origination territory.
• Experience with community loan products, including LMI mortgage solutions, lender‑paid assistance programs, and third‑party assistance programs.
• Established book of business strongly recommended.
• FHA/VA and conventional loan expertise preferred.
• Ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing alternatives.
• Ability to communicate required documents and information to customers for loans.
• Knowledge of consumer lending laws and regulations (fair lending, privacy, RESPA).
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong relationship development and management skills.
• Expertise of general lending products and overall mortgage industry.

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.

Job Type: Full time, Salary Range: $90,000.00 – $90,000.00 (plus potential incentive and retention awards).
