Job Description
Welcomes new production employees/temporary workers and introduces them to the work position and environment (e.g., production floor areas, colleagues, quality team, suppliers, etc.). Manages Training Checklists for each new employee and works with Production Supervisor to assign Training Buddies. Utilizing the Training Checklist, first demonstrates how to successfully complete tasks to be performed during the shift, according to product specifications and operating procedures.
- Shows and explains how to start-up, operate and shutdown the machines, and what to do in case of equipment malfunction and/or an accident.
- Introduces the documentation to be used at the workstation (e.g., Specifications and inspection Instructions, Lot Record Package, etc.) and ensures that it is properly followed and completed.
- Provides training on product quality, production of the different samples and visual checks and on Good Manufacturing Practices (e.g., traceability, identification, batch name, preparation, and clearance, …).
- Prevents accidents by explaining the risks at workstations (e.g., risks of pinching, cut, etc.) and standard response to safety concerns or incidents.
- Assesses the new employee at the end of their induction using the Training Checklist, provides regular feedback and/or additional training, and monitors them over time.
- Serves as a mentor to employees as well as a liaison between floor staff and the production management team.
- Develops and promotes positive working relationships with new hires, peers, and leaders.
- Participates in the creation of work instructions, SOPs, and job aids as per standard.
- Provides feedback to Technical Production Trainer on training progress and needs.
- Shares best practices and challenges identified during tutoring with other Tutors, Production Supervisor, Technical Production Trainer, and Human Resources.
- In periods where no new employees are starting or during downtime, Tutors will be assigned T1 and/or T2 responsibilities as usual.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1+ years of experience as an effective operator in Injection molding and/or assembly.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- Completed specific training provided by the Quality and EHS departments.
- Complete knowledge of quality procedures and documentation applicable to production work posts.
PAY RANGE: $20.00 USD - $25.00 USD Hourly plus 10% Night Shift Differential (This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.)

SCHEDULE:
8-Hour, Monday - Friday. Hours are 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM.
