Job purpose
The Optical Assembly Associate is responsible for the proper assembly of optical components following specified instructions and procedures to ensure the finished product meets established operational and quality standards
Duties and responsibilities
- Align parts or work pieces to ensure proper assembly
- Assemble very small parts using hand tools with a high level of quality and efficiency
- Mount work pieces on holding fixtures, protecting and cleaning of sensitive optical components
- Inspection and registration of finished product
- Follows production drawings and sample assemblies
- Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency diploma required
- 1+ year of assembly experience
- Knowledge of Production Procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Teamwork
- Work independently
- Able to multitask
Working conditions
The working conditions of this job is in a manufacturing and fast-paced environment. The use of safety glasses is required. Exposure to loud sounds; earplugs will be provided
