Quality Engineer

LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a motivated Quality Engineer –
Automotive Manufacturing to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a quality professional who enjoys ownership, visibility, and meaningful interaction with customers, suppliers, and leadership.

The Quality Engineer will support a structured quality organization that includes senior-level quality leadership and on-site quality technicians across shifts. This role will have a strong focus on IATF 16949 compliance, internal audit leadership, and proactive readiness for customer and third-party audits. Previous experience in either metal stamping or injection molding operations is critical for success in this role.

• Lead and execute internal quality audits throughout the year to ensure ongoing compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO-based quality systems.
• Serve as a key contributor during customer and third-party audits, ensuring documentation, processes, and records are audit-ready.
• Maintain, review, and continuously improve quality documentation, records, and systems across manufacturing operations.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to embed quality requirements into process design, controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review customer-specific requirements, scorecards, portals, and quality expectations to ensure alignment and compliance.
• Analyze quality data, trends, and KPIs; communicate findings and improvement opportunities to leadership.
• Support supplier quality activities including review and approval of PPAPs and corrective actions as needed.
• Act as a primary quality interface with customers and suppliers, ensuring timely and effective resolution of quality concerns.
• Participate in company-wide continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
• Exercise authority to stop production when quality standards are not met.
• Occasional travel to customer sites.
• Annual travel to international manufacturing locations.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience working within an IATF 16949–certified manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading internal and external audits and maintaining audit readiness.
• Background in metal stamping or injection molding.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing process flows, inspection methods, and quality control systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interface confidently with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Bilingual:
  English / Spanish is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting multi‑site or global manufacturing operations.
• Automotive industry experience is strongly valued.

$70,000 - $85,000
