Job DescriptionReporting to a supervisor/manager, the Lab Technician 2 brings technical skills and knowledge to support daily laboratory activities, equipment qualification, test method validation (TMV) development, and lab engineering projects. The role includes bench‑level engineering tests for design verification, stability, feasibility, and test method developments, working under moderate supervision to complete assignments.
Responsibilities- Support equipment qualification (IQ and OQ) and test method validation (TMV) development.
- Execute moderately complex test requests with minimal assistance.
- Handle minimally complex problems autonomously with minimal supervisor assistance.
- Work proactively with minimal oversight to complete minimally complex projects.
- Support review of test requests to ensure accurate completion.
- Troubleshoot inconsistencies on test needs/requests with requestors.
- Coordinate or lead test requests upon supervisor request.
- Develop proficiency in one or more laboratory functions such as environmental chamber supervision, aging program coordination, equipment maintenance, calibration coordination, test procedure maintenance, tool and fixture design, and EHS representation.
- Maintain good documentation practice (GDP) and support compliance with good laboratory practice (GLP).
- Support efforts to create tools for process simplification of testing lab operations.
- Work under moderate supervision to complete assignments.
