Description

The Percussion Instructor/Supervisor leads the drumline and pit percussion section for the RHS Marching Band. Duties include organizing and executing all aspects of the fall marching band season for the percussion section, teaching and supervising at summer camp rehearsals, instructing during band camp and RHS RAM Band drumline & pit percussion at all fall marching band evening rehearsals and Saturday season camp days, supervising the RHS RAM Band Drumline & pit percussion during away competitions and all home football games.

The instructor should supervise and instruct students on correct technique, posture, marching (crab marching), and proper care and maintenance of marching drums. The role reports directly to the Rockville High School Director of Bands.

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $16.94/hr position starts ASAP. Position ends 12/1/2026.

Qualifications

Must hold proper certification required for percussion instruction and a desire to lead a diverse and inclusive student body.
