Vernon Center Middle School invites applications for a Music/Band Teacher to serve grades 6-8. This anticipated opening will begin August 27, 2026.

Plan and deliver engaging instrumental music instruction to middle school students, fostering musical growth, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Direct band rehearsals and performances; assess student progress and create a positive, inclusive learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with families, and participate in school concerts, performances, and other extracurricular activities. Maintain classroom management, inventory of instruments and equipment, and fulfill all professional responsibilities in accordance with district policies and curriculum standards.

Required:

Proper certification for the position, with coverage of required materials for the application process (cover letter, resume, certifications & transcripts where applicable, and three letters of recommendation).

Salary range for the 26-27 school year is per contract with a competitive benefits package. Insurance information is provided in the attached contract.
