Position: Para educator – 10-month position
Location: TBD
Do you enjoy working with students and making a meaningful impact each day? Vernon Public Schools is seeking caring, dedicated, and collaborative individuals to join our team as Paraeducators.
This 10-month position works closely with classroom teachers and support staff to assist students with physical, emotional, behavioral, and/or educational needs. Paraeducators play an essential role in helping students build confidence, develop skills, and achieve success both academically and socially.
Successful candidates will help foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports learning for all students while maintaining high expectations and encouraging student growth.

August 25, 2026 - Hourly Rate: $18.69–$22.49 per hour, based on qualifying experience (

* Compensation is dependent upon relevant para educator experience, teaching experience, accredited preschool experience, and other related educational setting experience.
Qualifications- Minimum of 60 college credits beyond a high school diploma
- Associate's Degree
- Passing score of 457 or higher on the Para Pro Assessment or Para Pathways
Strong communication skills, flexibility, patience, and a commitment to supporting student success are highly valued.
