Job Details
  • Growth opportunity for a Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice RN (APRN) in a Neurosurgery setting
  • Unique, 1:1 training with neurosurgeons to ensure professional development and clinical excellence
  • Involvement in a Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program including the use of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) treatment for movement disorders
  • Both clinic and OR time, including 1st Assist for cranial and spine procedures
  • Work alongside a team of advanced practitioners with extensive Neurosurgery experience
  • Join an established practice and staff dedicated to providing thorough, patient-centered care
  • Full-time schedule with four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday; hours may vary based on case load
  • No call requirements and no weekend obligations
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master's program preferred
  • Must be licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant or APRN in the state of Connecticut
  • Certification or eligibility for certification as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an APRN required
  • RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assist) certification required for APRNs
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience as a Surgical Physician Assistant in a Neurosurgery or Orthopedic setting; 1st Assist in OR preferred
