General Labor - 1st Shift - Vernon, TX

Responsibilities

• Feed pork bellies into the slicer and stack boxes on pallets.
• Package sliced bacon into boxes or packages in bulk or vacuum package.
• Assist the Sanitation department: keep offices, processing department, bacon line, freezer room, and restrooms clean and sanitized.
• Wash hooks, combs, pallets, and machines as needed, and hang plastic where required.
• Pick up trash and sweep floors, clean floors, remove pieces from the floor, and keep the freezer room organized.
• Supply production with empty trash/cardboard combos and cotton gloves.
• Rotate jobs across departments according to the department schedule and production requirements.
• Follow USDA, Tyson, and customer regulations and specifications for product and tasks.

• Willing to become certified in scissor lift, pallet jack, and forklift if needed.
• Must meet all USDA, Tyson, and customer regulations and specifications.
• Able to rotate jobs according to the department schedule.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull between 10 and 70 lbs.
• Willing to lift up to 70 lbs. during sanitation tasks.
• Location not accepting rehires.
