About Indian River Dentistry

Like each Heartland Dental supported office, Indian River Dentistry is unique to the community and the patients it serves. Minimum Qualifications
  • Current dental hygienist license in Florida
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation
  • CPR Certification
Preferred Experience
  • New graduates and experienced hygienists encouraged to apply
  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, digital x‑rays, and electronic medical record systems
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet patients’ needs and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of dental health
  • Clinical duties as required by the office
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office, Doctor, or Heartland Dental, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
  • Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in‑person) periodically throughout the year
  • A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions (standard requirement, completed prior to employment and not applicable in FL & TN)
