Job Description & How to Apply Below
Discovery Church is one church with two locations on Florida's Treasure Coast, Fort Pierce and Vero Beach. We exist to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. Every role on this team serves that one mission, and the people who thrive here care about the person in front of them more than the program around them.

Reports to Kids Director
The Role
What you would carryThe Preschool Director builds and leads Discovery Church's new preschool with Christ at the center: hiring and shepherding teachers, keeping every child safe, partnering with families, and shaping a program aimed at accreditation standards from day one.
- 01 Hire, train, schedule, and coach the preschool lead teachers and aides, and build a healthy staff culture.
- 02 Keep children safe and well cared for: child-to-staff ratios, check-in and check-out, emergency drills, and state licensing requirements.
- 03 Oversee classroom quality, from age-appropriate curriculum and routines to clean, engaging rooms.
- 04 Be the primary contact for families: tours, admissions questions, orientation, parent-teacher conferences, and the hard conversations.
- 05 Run the administration behind the program: enrollment, attendance, staff and student files, background checks, and incident reports.
- 06 Provide spiritual leadership for staff, children, and families, and lead the staff devotionals.
- 07 Hold or be working toward Florida's Early Education Director certification (the preschool is still being built and licensed, so there is time), plus current infant/child CPR and first aid.
