Joining Block Advisors as a Tax Advisor means serving clients with diverse tax and business services needs year‑round. You’ll have the support of an expert team and advanced tax training to help you succeed. Block Advisors redefined the tax preparation experience for individuals and small businesses with complex needs, assisting clients in reaching their financial goals year‑round.

• Build year‑round client relationships.
• Provide tax preparation, tax audit support, and tax planning year‑round.
• Conduct tax interviews in person and via virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email) to create client confidence.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support; assist with tax notices as appropriate by qualification level.
• Support the team with continuing tax expertise development and knowledge application.

• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification (preferred).
• Experience completing business tax returns and individual tax returns.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews and working with virtual tools (video conferencing and chat).
• Sales and/or marketing experience (a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of tax experience and ability to communicate effectively in person and virtually.
• Tax planning and audit support experience.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent; ability to meet continuing education and IRS/state requirements.
