Working under the supervision of the Recreation Facilities Supervisor, performs a variety of duties in the maintenance of county recreation facilities and grounds.

• Responsible for janitorial duties including cleaning restrooms, removing garbage, litter, and debris.
• Sets up meeting rooms, gymnasium, and other areas for events.
• Cleans windows and floors with equipment such as squeegees and floor scrubbing machines.
• Pressure washes, removes weeds, and other light landscaping around the property.
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (painting, repairing drywall, etc.).
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
• Cleans and assists with the upkeep of the facility.
• Orders supplies and materials as needed for repairs and maintenance.

Three years of related work experience performing groundskeeping, janitorial, and general maintenance work.

• Valid Florida Driver’s License.

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Ability to operate lawn maintenance and pressure washing equipment.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work outdoors under adverse weather conditions.
• Assist in facility room setups and takedowns.
• Ability to perform janitorial duties.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co‑workers and the public.
• Ability to work as a team with all other staff to ensure that all duties are completed in a timely manner.
