Production Manager

A well-established Grower/Shipper/Packer is searching for a Production Manager to join their team in Florida.

• Responsible for the efficient performance of up to 70 employees.
• Responsible for monitoring and tracking quality of each employee’s performance and collaborates with HR for corrective action or performance related issues.
• 75% of the Production Manager’s time will be spent on the production floor.
• Maintains a clean production environment ensuring GMPs and SOPs are followed at all times.
• Responsible for ensuring food safety, employee safety and product quality are in place, line efficiency, waste, downtime, and labor are to company standards.
• Assists machine operators and other key positions during start up and changeovers; starts and sets all processing equipment prior to start time.
• Performs Operations Checklist hourly. Completes daily Production Reports and other reports as directed by Plant Manager.
• Must be able to communicate and work effectively with supporting departments to achieve goals and sustain the level of food safety and product quality per our clients’ standards.
• A positive attitude, willingness and initiative to get the job done and motivate subordinates.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with basic math skills. College degree preferred. Minimum of 4 years of Food Processing/Manufacturing Management experience preferred.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) Required.
• Should have basic knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Preferred Qualifications:
