The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive patient care, including conducting health assessments, taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. Responsibilities include developing and managing treatment plans, prescribing medications within scope of practice, and providing ongoing patient education on disease prevention, wellness, and chronic condition management. The role involves close collaboration with the supervising physician and clinical team to coordinate care, review complex cases, and ensure adherence to practice protocols and regulatory standards.
The Nurse Practitioner will document encounters accurately in the medical record, participate in follow-up and care transitions, and support practice quality-improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vero Beach, FL.
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida and national board certification (e.g., FNP, AGNP, or relevant specialty).
- Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care in an outpatient or primary care setting.
- Strong skills in patient communication, education, and counseling, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR), documentation, and basic computer applications for clinical workflows.
- Ability to collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, while exercising sound clinical judgment and independent decision-making within scope of practice.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and adherence to professional and ethical standards of care.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program; prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse in a clinical setting is highly beneficial.
- Current CPR/BLS certification; ACLS and experience in cardiology care are a plus.
