RN Cardiac Invasive Laboratory - Electrophysiology Lab

As an RN in the Electrophysiology Lab at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital, you will assist cardiologists with diagnosing and treating arrhythmias through monitoring patient cardiac status, managing conscious sedation, and utilizing high-tech imaging equipment. • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Invasive Lab.
• Assess, prepare, and position patients for procedures.
• Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Prepare, implement, and document plans of care.
• Communicate patients’ condition to physicians before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist with and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures.
• Set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program)

Experience:

• 2 years of recent critical care nursing experience

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross
