We’re seeking a Medical Director / Managing Veterinarian to lead our AAHA-accredited team in a collaborative, supportive clinic environment. This role offers the chance to guide the growth of our hospital while exploring potential joint venture partnership opportunities.

All this comes in a prime coastal location: just two hours from Orlando’s theme parks and only 10 minutes from the beach.

Responsibilities
  • Diverse Caseload – Treat dogs, cats, and some pocket pets, with opportunities for exotics and avian patients. Utilize advanced diagnostics including ultrasound, cold laser, digital radiography, and dental.
  • Holistic Options – Offer acupuncture with optional electrical stimulation, Chinese and natural ingredient medicines, and laser therapy.
  • Balanced Schedule – 4–4.5 days per week, with no on-call or after-hours, designed to balance your needs and those of the hospital.
  • Professional Growth – Receive expert-led, hands-on training across a variety of medical areas at our Pet One Veterinary Training Center, including one fully covered Pet One course in your first year.
  • Quality of Life – Enjoy scenic shores, a serene river lagoon, vibrant arts and culture, a welcoming community with no state income tax, and abundant outdoor activities from kayaking and paddle boarding to golfing and tennis.
  • Leadership and Management – Provide medical leadership for the hospital, ensure quality care, manage associate veterinarians, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee financial performance in collaboration with the Hospital Manager, and participate in budget planning and staffing decisions under National Veterinary Associates (NVA) oversight.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a DVM
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in FL
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
