Landscape Foreman

As a Landscape Foreman, you will lead a field crew of 2-5 employees on landscape construction projects. This role is responsible for supervising daily jobsite activities, coordinating labor and materials, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to company quality standards. The Landscape Foreman serves as the on-site leader, working closely with project managers, equipment operators, and crew members to deliver high-quality landscape installations.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise construction crews on landscape installation projects
  • Plan and organize daily work activities, assigning tasks to maximize productivity and quality
  • Perform hands-on construction work including grading, planting, sod installation, mulching, hardscape installation, and site preparation as needed
  • Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and work orders
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors to meet project timelines
  • Monitor jobsite progress and address issues related to quality, safety, or scheduling
  • Enforce all safety policies and conduct daily jobsite safety briefings
  • Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping, job reports, and documentation
  • Communicate regularly with project managers and operations leadership regarding progress and needs
  • Represent the company professionally with clients, inspectors, and other trades
  • Understanding client needs while meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Planning, organizing and managing work for crew members at each client site location
  • Conducting safety, equipment and timekeeping training
  • Interacting with clients, residents, and employees with a high level of customer service
  • Performing other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in landscape construction or related outdoor construction work
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or foreman role
  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction techniques, materials, and equipment
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Physical ability to perform demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship
  • Valid Florida Driver's License and the ability to pass an MVR check
  • Reliable transportation
Preferred

Skills & Experience:
  • Experience working on commercial, municipal, or large-scale residential construction projects
  • Knowledge of irrigation and drainage installation or coordination
  • Experience operating or supervising use of heavy equipment (skid steers, loaders, compactors, etc.)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make field decisions
  • Experience training and mentoring crew members
  • Familiarity with project scheduling, productivity tracking, and material management
  • Interest in career growth into project management or senior construction leadership roles
