We’re looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to join an established marine construction team specializing in docks, decks, seawalls, and waterfront projects throughout the Vero Beach area.
What You’ll Be Doing- Build, repair, and renovate docks, decks, piers, and waterfront structures
- Perform structural framing, decking, layout, cutting, and installation
- Work with pilings, pressure-treated lumber, composite decking, and marine-grade materials
- Read plans, measurements, and project specifications
- Lead and work alongside field crews to keep projects moving
- Coordinate materials, tools, and daily jobsite activities
- Maintain high standards for craftsmanship, safety, and jobsite organization
- Troubleshoot field issues and ensure work is completed correctly and efficiently
- 3+ years of carpentry/construction experience
- Strong background in rough carpentry, framing, decks, docks, or marine construction
- Previous Lead Carpenter, Foreman, or crew leadership experience preferred
- Comfortable working outdoors and around waterfront environments
- Strong knowledge of construction tools, materials, measurements, and layout
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Experience with any of the following is a major plus:
