Projects include parking lots, industrial and retail complexes, road and highway construction, and airport runways.

Summary

Our company has an immediate opening for a skilled and dedicated MOT (Management of Traffic) Driver in Vero Beach, FL
. The MOT Driver is responsible for safely transporting and deploying traffic control devices and personnel to various construction sites. This role ensures the safe setup and removal of traffic control equipment, directs traffic as needed, and adheres to safety protocols. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and able to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Advanced MOT certification is required.
  • Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control devices (cones, barricades, signs, arrow boards) to and from construction sites.
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of traffic control equipment and materials.
  • Assist in setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices according to traffic control plans.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations.
  • Direct traffic safely around construction sites using appropriate signage and hand signals.
  • Ensure proper placement and maintenance of traffic control devices for visibility and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate traffic control operations.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Monitor traffic conditions and report any issues or hazards to supervisors.
  • Perform routine maintenance on traffic control equipment and company vehicles to keep them in good working condition.
  • Assist with other construction-related tasks as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Advanced MOT certification is required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in traffic control.
  • Knowledge of traffic control procedures and safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Shift: 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move heavy objects up to 75 lbs as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
Work Environment
  • Outdoor construction sites with exposure to various weather conditions.
  • Noise levels associated with heavy equipment operation.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
