- Operate a fixed-route bus safely and on schedule.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
- Assist riders with boarding, including those with mobility devices.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Valid Florida CDL (Class
B) with Passenger Endorsement. - At least 5 years of driving history.
- Clean DMV driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
- Must be at least 18
years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S. - Must successfully complete Level 2 background screening through Florida's Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse and maintain eligibility with the Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA):
Skills:
- Familiarity with Indian River County roadways.
- Experience driving passenger vehicles or buses.
- Knowledge of transit regulations (FTA, ADA, DOT).
