Truck Driver, CDL and Production Support

Drives truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, including towing trailers. Also support production.
Monday-Friday 6am-2:45pm, possible overtime. $20/hour+ pending experience .

Must maintain CDL license.
Drives truck (& trailers) to destinations.
Prepares receipts for load picked up and drop off.
Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
Loads and unloads truck.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
Handles C.O.D. transactions.
Picks up and delivers parts and supplies as needed. Tracks accompanying paperwork.
Fork Lift Certified or ability to be.
Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements- Have and maintain a CDL license.
- Have a current DOT physical that is self-certified.
- Fork lift certified or the ability to be.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
