Position: HVAC Mechanical Engineer

Location:

Verona, WI (hybrid schedule – three days onsite, two days remote)

Company: A client in the Verona, WI area seeks an experienced HVAC Mechanical Engineer to design, coordinate, support, and commission complex HVAC and mechanical systems for industrial, laboratory, manufacturing, and process facilities.

• Design HVAC and mechanical systems for industrial, laboratory, manufacturing, and process facilities.
• Independently develop mechanical engineering and HVAC design solutions that align with project scope, budget, schedule, technical requirements, and client expectations.
• Perform engineering calculations and support equipment selection for complex HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Prepare equipment specifications, construction documents, design documentation, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and cross‑functional engineering teams throughout the design, construction, installation, startup, and commissioning process.
• Support equipment procurement, installation, system startup, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and equipment suppliers to support successful project execution.
• Manage multiple projects while adapting to changing priorities and project schedules.
• Provide technical support during design reviews, construction, installation, system startup, and commissioning.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience designing industrial HVAC and mechanical systems within a consulting engineering firm or design/build mechanical contractor.
• Strong knowledge of chilled water, cooling tower, process water, hot water, steam, natural gas, refrigeration, compressed air, fuel, comfort HVAC, and process air systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects while meeting client expectations and project deadlines.
• Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and project coordination skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and cross‑functional communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for design meetings, installation support, and commissioning activities.

• Base salary in the $90k – $110k per year range
