Manufacturing Maintenance Technician (2nd shift)
Your MissionWe are seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician who takes pride in repairing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment while supporting production goals in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Support production teams by minimizing machine downtime.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and process-related issues.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance records using CMMS software.
- Work with production and manufacturing teams to improve equipment performance.
- Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and quality.
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent maintenance experience.
- Experience with industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, drives, and electromechanical equipment.
- Experience with plastic molding, blow molding, or injection molding equipment is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during evening and overnight operations.
- Basic computer skills and experience documenting maintenance activities.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to push/pull up to 500 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and work around industrial equipment.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Previous experience operating blow molding or similar manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform minor mechanical repairs.
- Basic understanding of production processes and quality standards.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical documents.
- Experience with extrusion blow molding or injection blow molding.
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment.
- Prior experience in plastics manufacturing.
