Licensed Journeymen are eligible for a hiring bonus of up to $9,000, based on license tenure, residential service experience, and prior performance history. Amount and terms reviewed during the interview process and confirmed in your offer letter.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing — "The Punctual Plumber" — is launching in Madison and hiring Wisconsin-licensed Journeyman Plumbers. You'll run service calls, drain work, water heaters, repairs, and installations out of a fully stocked take-home company van, backed by a 200+ location national brand's training, technology, and dispatch.

This is a ground-floor opportunity. Be one of the first techs on the team, with a real runway to lead tech, foreman, or master-track development as we scale to a multi-van operation across Madison, Middleton, Verona, Waunakee, and surrounding Dane County communities.

• Diagnose and repair residential plumbing: leaks, drains, water heaters, fixtures, sewer lines, gas lines, sump and ejector pumps.
• Install and replace water heaters (tank and tankless), repipes, fixture upgrades, water treatment.
• Test every job before leaving the home. No avoidable callbacks.
• Explain the work in plain English. Aim for 100% customer satisfaction on every call.
• Pull permits and work to Wisconsin code (SPS 382/384) under our master plumber of record.
• Keep your van clean and your Service Titan records accurate.
• Show up uniformed, on time, and respectful of the customer's home.

• Wisconsin DSPS Journeyman Plumber license, active and in good standing. (Verified through DSPS.)
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• 3+ years of hands-on plumbing experience; residential service strongly preferred.
• Comfort with technology — smartphone, tablet, dispatch software, digital invoicing.
• Customer-first mindset. You can explain plumbing without making a homeowner feel small.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in tight crawl spaces and attics, and pass a background check and drug screen.

• Pay: name your base + performance pay (spiffs and completion bonuses), based on experience and license tenure. We’re also open to hybrid hourly + commission, full commission, or salary structures —> tell us what fits your career and your life, and we’ll build the offer around it.
