  • Physical - Capable of occasionally lifting 40lbs safely or with assistance. Possess good mobility with ability to stand for long periods of time and bend easily to shrink wrap package goods.

  • Must have valid Wisconsin Class A CDL with appropriate classifications and meet DOT minimum requirements.
  • Must be able to inspect vehicles daily, report and or perform safety and normal maintenance needs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for counting goods to be shipped and agreeing to job travelers.

Label outgoing freight with internal labeling. Sign for goods received and ensure received goods not damaged, note exceptions.

Deliver product to customers in a professional manner.

Responsible to create internal and external shipping documents. Authorized to drive company vehicles and forklifts, complete daily logs and ensure vehicles are scheduled for routine and non-routine maintenance.

Responsible for producing quality workmanship, which meets or exceeds requirements.

  • Drive company trucks as directed to make deliveries to local and out-of-state customers, or perform other company business.
  • Deliver goods to customers while maintaining professional demeanor including appropriate language, attire and attitude.
  • Oversee Driver 1 to assure consistent, high-quality deliveries.
  • Daily vehicle inspections and maintain log sheets
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs.
  • Keep vehicles clean and fueled.
  • Follow appropriate rules of the road for driving each vehicle.
  • Work safely in accordance with company safety guidelines.
  • Ensure the highest quality standards are met with all work done.
  • Count goods to be shipped and agree to job traveler.
  • General inspection that quality of shipped goods and received goods is good and not damaged, note and report any damage.
  • Pack and shrink wrap product for shipment.
  • Use forklift to move skids, load and unload trucks, shrink wrap.
  • Staging shipments as directed by supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and uncluttered environment in shipping area.
  • Ensure all applicable internal and DOT operating policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Maintain CDL license.
  • Accurately maintain MES system as instructed.
  • Random DOT drug testing requirement.
  • Arrive to work in a punctual manner and be willing to work overtime when needed.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Basic math, reading and communication skills
  • Experience driving delivery trucks and tractor trailers
  • Must be able to follow directions and read a highway map
Education and Experience
  • 2 years of experience in similar function.
