Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and maximize uptime.
- Monitor and improve key maintenance metrics, including uptime, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance costs.
- Audit maintenance processes and procedures to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Standardize equipment repair procedures and maintenance best practices.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities for chronic and major equipment failures.
- Coordinate responses to extended equipment breakdowns using 8D and other structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that reduce technical downtime and increase equipment performance.
- Promote a culture of safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Optimize spare parts inventory to support equipment reliability while managing inventory costs.
- Utilize CMMS systems to support maintenance planning, scheduling, analysis, and reporting activities.
- Assist in planning and execution of major maintenance shutdowns and equipment outages.
- Support capital projects related to safety, productivity, modernization, and reliability improvements.
- Participate in equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities, ensuring maintenance strategies and spare parts requirements are established.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians and operations personnel.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to improve safety, quality, productivity, and equipment performance.
- Promote and ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, engineering, or related functions within manufacturing.
- Experience developing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Experience leading root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience utilizing CMMS platforms for maintenance planning and analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher preferred).
- Knowledge of TPM, RCM, FMEA, RCA, and 8D methodologies.
- CNC and Fanuccontrolsexperience.
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and capital projects.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, dust, vibration, moving equipment, and wear all required PPE
- Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, climb stairs and ladders, and access manufacturing equipment throughout the facility.
May be required to lift up to 35 pounds and work extended or off-shift hours to support shutdowns, projects, or emergency equipment repairs.
