Position SummaryThis position supports both the Bursar and the Director of Financial Aid. The position supports the day-to-day operations of the Bursar’s Office and the Office of Financial Aid by assisting with student account administration, billing, payment processing, and customer service functions. This role ensures accurate and timely financial transactions and delivers professional service to students, faculty, and staff in a private higher education environment.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Presents at on-campus orientation sessions each term to educate students about financial aid and payment processes.
- Maintain and update student account records.
- Process payments, deposits, and account adjustments.
- Works efficiently and closely with Financial Aid Service to ensure efficient and accurate determination of eligibility and processing of student awards.
- Support billing, invoicing, and payment plan administration.
- Counsel prospective students on the financial aid options and process for applying.
- Respond to student and departmental inquiries regarding accountancy activity.
- Research and resolve routine account discrepancies.
- Support reconciliation and balancing procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with institutional policies.
- Assist with cashiering functions as needed.
- Review, analyze and process financial aid documents.
- Process status changes.
- Provide service to the University through activities such as involvement in FNU shared governance (e.g. committees, work groups), FNU sponsored activities (e.g. charity drives, community-outreach activities), and/or service to the profession (e.g. presentations, professional organization committee work).

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Will consider AA degree with significant experience in the field.
- One year of experience in student financial aid, student personnel, or related areas in a post-secondary institution
Eligible for hybrid telecommuting agreement after 30 days of employment.
